Last MoHud autocross of the season

The last autocross of the season for MoHud takes place this Sunday at Wilton Mall in Wilton, exit 15 off the Northway.

We’ll be in the parking lot of the mall toward the rear, you can’t miss it looping the mall in either direction. Registration closes at 9:30 a.m. and participants should be there earlier. First car off for spectating is typically between 10:30 – 11 a.m.

$25 for members, $40 for non-. Loaner helmets available. Car needs to be mechanically sound. Looks like it’ll be a bit nippy – dress warm.

There’s a revised course design this time around that should feel fresh from the previous events held here. And it’s the last one before the long hibernation season.

Last chance full course Monticello with MoHud

On Friday Sept. 24th 2010 Mohawk Hudson Region is hosting a PDX (aka HPDE or High Performance Driving School) at the exclusive Monticello Motor Club in Monticello NY. Monticello is a beautiful facility with a challenging racetrack designed by Brain Redman about 2 hours south of Albany.

This will be the last year they rent the “full course” at the track. So it might be your last chance to take advantage of it’s 18 turns, 3.8 mile length without plunking down big bucks for a membership. Entry fee for students. $250 for SCCA members, $265 for non SCCA members.

This event is basically full by this point, and I count five MINIs registered, but you can always request to be added to a wait list. Additional information, rules, paperwork is available here. Online registration is over at MotorSportReg, and it’s listing 93 registered drivers at this moment (9/7).

MoHud Autocross 5 at Wilton Mall

This Sunday, August 22, Mohawk-Hudson SCCA hosts their fifth points event of the season. Our course designer always posts up course maps in advance, so if you want a peak at what it will look like, check the thread.

We return to Wilton Mall for this one. That will be exit 15 off the Northway. The usual suggestions and regulations apply. Registration closes by 10:15 a.m. but it’s advised to arrive at least a half hour prior to that.

The Wilton Mall lot is small, so it means a lot of circling and criss-crossing, but it’s also a simple course to follow, so novices are welcomed! Loaner helmets are available and all you need is a car that’s prepared to drive home after being roughed up a little. Well, all you need is a car that’ll pass tech, but take it from me, it’s a bummer to catch a ride in a tow truck at the end of . . . → Read More: MoHud Autocross 5 at Wilton Mall

MoHud Points Event #4 + test and tune

While Mohawk-Hudson SCCA does not have dates for the new site (which, by the way, is at Fortitech on Route 50 in Glenville), MoHud does have two autocross dates quickly coming up.

Saturday, July 24 will be another test and tune, this time held at the McCarty Ave location. It’s the Office of General Services parking lot at the end of 787, nestled between 787 and 9W.

Sunday, July 25 will be the fourth points event of the season, again at McCarty Ave. Registration closes at 9:15 a.m. each morning, and it’s advised to be there comfortably half an hour ahead of that time. Everyone is welcomed to attend, and loaner helmets are available.

After this, there is an August 22 date back at Wilton Mall. As said before, the fall ACC dates have been canceled, but hopefully we can replace those events at Fortitech or one of the other locations. Updates as they come, or over at . . . → Read More: MoHud Points Event #4 + test and tune
